Following over a year of research, a demographic study of the school district, a community survey and staff focus groups, the Westonka School Board Facilities Committee has identified three priorities with regard to facilities improvements:
- districtwide security enhancements to incorporate best practice safety standards;
- districtwide deferred maintenance improvements;
- and a redesign of Mound Westonka High School to enhance the learning environment and improve functionality, safety and pride.
On Tuesday, March 14, 2023, Westonka Superintendent Kevin Borg held a community presentation and discussion of the committee’s prioritized facilities needs. A video of the presentation is posted below.

The goal is to ensure the district’s direction with regard to future facility improvements aligns with that of Westonka parents, staff and community members.
