  • Hilltop Students Mummify Principal Moch

    Mummify Moch Hilltop students earned well over 1500 SOAR slips (slips for positive behavior).  The top student in each class got to help "mummify" Principal Moch with leaf blowers and toilet paper.  Way to go Hilltop team on the awesome start to the school year!!!

  • November Facilities Update: 2016 Bond Projects

    Since breaking ground in May 2017, much progress has been made on the new Westonka Performing Arts Center and Westonka Activity Center at Mound Westonka High School. Both projects were made possible thanks to the community's support of a May 2016 bond referendum.

  • Westonka Announces 2017-2018 Building Teachers of the Year

    Westonka Education Minnesota kicked off American Education Week Nov. 13 by announcing the 2017-2018 building Teachers of the Year. Congratulations to this year's honored educators: June Heather Carver from Westonka Early Learning, Kim Collins from Hilltop Primary School, Jenny Naslund from Shirley Hills Primary School, Katie Rutledge from Grandview Middle School and Lisa Paul from Mound Westonka High School.

  • Westonka Students Wear Orange for Unity Day

    Schools across the district were ablaze in orange Oct. 25 to celebrate Unity Day, a movement designed to bring everyone together to stand against bullying and be united for kindness, acceptance and inclusion. Each school in the Westonka district conducted activities throughout the month of October aimed at spreading kindness, promoting unity and combatting bullying.

  • MWHS Theatre Presents 'Sweet Charity'

    The Mound Westonka High School Theatre Department is proud to present "Sweet Charity" as this year’s fall musical Nov. 16-19. The shows start at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 16 through Saturday, Nov. 18, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 19.

  • Early Voting by Direct Ballot Begins Oct. 31 for Nov. 7 Election

    In-person absentee voting for the November Westonka School District Election will continue through Monday, Nov. 6 at the school district offices. But beginning Tuesday, Oct. 31, through the end of the absentee period, voters will be able to cast their ballots by inserting them directly into a ballot counter, just as they would on Election Day.
