  • Westonka Friends of the Arts to Present 'A Day of the Arts'

    The Westonka Friends of the Arts are thrilled to be supporting this summer’s production of “The Music Man” and look forward to introducing it to the community as part of a special event. A Day of the Arts, focusing on a broad range of music styles, including musical theater, will be presented from 1:45 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at the Westonka Performing Arts Center.

  • Fourth-Graders Make Memories at Wolf Ridge

    In what has become a rite of passage, Westonka's fourth-grade students, along with a group of staff and parents, recently spent an exciting week at the Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center in Finland, Minnesota. This year, Shirley Hills students visited Wolf Ridge May 13-17, while Hilltop fourth-graders made the trip May 20-24.

  • Super Hero Safer Tweens Class Offered

    Western Communities Action Network (WeCAN) will host a free Super Hero Kids™ Safer Tweens Training for kids in fourth- through sixth-grade and their parent on Tuesday, June 18, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

  • Westonka 5K FUNd Run Canceled

    Due to inclement weather, the Westonka 5K FUNd Run scheduled for Saturday, May 18, is NOW CANCELED. Those who registered for the event should pick up their event packets and T-shirts today, Friday, May 17, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the north entrance of Mound Westonka High School.

  • Westonka Names Teacher of the Year, Honors District Volunteers

    During an evening ceremony May 1 at the Lafayette Club, Grandview Middle School teacher Dr. Deb Castner was named 2019 Westonka Public Schools Teacher of the Year. Also recognized were this year's building teachers of the year, as well as the recipients of the Ann Bremer White Hawks Award for community service, Lynne Robertson and John and Judy Lewman.

  • Hilltop Adventure Club Students Share Love Through Sandwiches

    Hilltop Primary School Adventure Club students prepared 180 sandwiches packed with deli meat, cheese and a lot of love as part of a service learning project on April 25. The sandwiches were donated to The Sandwich Project, an organization that helps feed families in need through shelters and food shelves across Minnesota.

  • Westonka Staff Honored at Retiree and Years of Service Banquet

    The Westonka School District honored seven dedicated employees who will be retiring this year at the annual Retiree and Years of Service Banquet May 1 at the Lafayette Club. Additionally, 30 Westonka employees were honored for their years of service to the school district.
