  • LuAnn Sing-Lynch Named February Winner of Westonka Way Award

    LuAnn Sing-Lynch has been named the February 2020 recipient of the Westonka Way Award. The monthly award celebrates non-licensed Westonka Public Schools staff members who go above and beyond for families, students and other staff—because that's the Westonka Way!

  • MWHS Theatre Presents 'Arsenic and Old Lace'

    Two murderous old ladies, a Theodore Roosevelt impersonator, a Boris Karloff look-alike and a theater critic in love all come together when Mound Westonka High School Theatre proudly presents the play “Arsenic and Old Lace.” Performances will be held at the Westonka Performing Arts Center March 6 and 7 at 7 p.m. and March 8 at 2 p.m.

  • Join the Fun at the Shirley Hills Carnival on March 6

    Shirley Hills Primary School invites the Westonka community to participate in the school's Winter Carnival! The 2020 Shirley Hills Winter Carnival and Silent Auction will take place Friday, March 6, from 5 to 9 p.m. The carnival is hosted by the Shirley Hills PTA and is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year.

  • All-District Band Concert March 1

    Over 350 students in grades 5-12 are gearing up for the biggest band event of the year. The Westonka All-District Band Concert will be held Sunday, March 1, at 2 p.m. in the Mound Westonka High School gym.

  • Young Scientists Participate in Hilltop Fair

    The 2020 Hilltop Science Fair was filled with excitement and bursting with creative minds eager to share. More than 60 young scientists entered projects for the Feb. 6 event, which included everything from bees to composting to explosive chemistry.

  • Athena Award Winner is Melissa Drill

    Mound Westonka High School is proud to name senior Melissa Drill as the 2020 recipient of the Athena Award. Candidates for this “outstanding female athlete” award must demonstrate excellence in individual or group sports. Drill is a three-sport White Hawks athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball and softball.
