Academic Excellence
- Overall, Westonka Public Schools was third in the state in math, fourth in the state in reading and third in the state in science of districts testing at least 100 students in a grade level on the 2023 Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments. At Mound Westonka High School, students in grades 8, 9 and 11 all scored in the top 10 in the state.
- Grade 8 was No. 5 in state in math and reading and No. 6 in state in science
- Grade 10 was No. 6 in state in reading and No. 9 in science
- Grade 11 was No. 3 in state in math
- Westonka was one of only 11 Minnesota districts named to the College Board’s 2012 AP® District Honor Roll for increasing access to AP Exams as well as the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher (usually the minimum to earn college credit).

- Westonka’s Edge21 Technology Plan transforms the method by which curriculum is delivered to students and personalizes the learning experience for students
- Every MWHS student has a Google Chromebook to use at school and at home as the primary way to access curriculum
- The Westonka Tech Interns course teaches students to repair Chromebooks and other technology
- The Project Lead the Way engineering program offers two- and four-year college credit and features an innovative "Fab Lab"

- Thanks to our community's generous support, Westonka opened a new activity center and state-of-the-art performing arts center on the high school campus in 2018
- In 2023, Westonka residents approved $93.4 million in bond funding to improve safety and security at all schools; address districtwide deferred maintenance needs; and redesign the high school to enhance the learning environment and improve functionality, safety and pride
- Over $285,000 in locally-sponsored scholarships awarded to the Class of 2023
