Early Learning Announcements

  • 2019-2020 Preschool Online Registration Process:  

    Registrations are approved in the order in which they are received in our online registration system. Contracts will not be approved unless they are complete. A completed registration will include:

    • Online Registration at
    • Completed Early Childhood District Registration Form is turned into the Early Learning Center office at 5702 Game Farm Road East, Minnetrista or scanned to
    • Completed Health Care Summary Form is faxed from your child's clinic to our Early Learning Center.
    • Completed Immunization Form is turned in the Early Learning Center.
    • Your account online will be charged a $55 non-refundable registration fee ($45 registration fee, $10 activity fee) upon approval of your contract.

  • Westonka is Second in State Math Assessments, Seventh in Reading

    According to data released in August by the Minnesota Department of Education, Westonka Public Schools remains a high academic performer, with students scoring among the top districts in the state on the spring 2019 Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments and Minnesota Test of Academic Skills. Overall, Westonka had the second highest percent proficient in math in the state (78 percent) and the seventh highest percent proficient in reading (77 percent) of districts testing at least 100 students in a grade level.

    Westonka Public Schools is once again ranked among the top school districts in the state, according to data recently released by websites SchoolDigger and Niche.

  • Westonka School Board Approves November Referendum

    At its regular meeting Monday night, Aug. 19, the Westonka School Board unanimously voted to move forward this fall with an operating levy referendum. On Nov. 5, 2019, Westonka residents will be asked to vote on a revoke and replace levy with a tiered payment structure.
