New White Hawks Sculpture Adorns Shirley Hills Lawn
Principal Scott Eidsness and Shirley Hills students are pictured with the new sculpture.
April 17, 2025 — When Shirley Hills Primary School students returned to school after spring break, they noticed a new addition to the lawn. A large painted White Hawks sculpture, constructed from recycled tires, now greets visitors near the north parking lot.
Dean of Students Beth Hausladen explained that Bruce Stillman, owner of Big Stone Mini Golf and Sculpture Garden and parent of a Shirley Hills first grader, had the sculpture made for the school. The sculpture arrived during spring break.
“We haven’t decided on a permanent spot yet, but it’s pretty cool,” said Hausladen, who expressed the school’s appreciation for the nice donation.
