My name is Scott Eidsness, and I am excited to be principal of Shirley Hills Primary School. Our theme for this year is Don't Just Fly, SOAR! We use SOAR to teach our expected behavior here at Shirley Hills. SOAR stands for Safe, Own it, Achieve, Respect. We use these words and this acronym to reinforce desired behaviors in all our settings at school and on the bus. At Shirley Hills we SOAR, we create a SAFE environment, we OWN our actions, we ACHIEVE our goals and we RESPECT others.

At Shirley Hills we are blessed with a supportive community that truly values education. Shirley Hills student's thrive and grow so much throughout their years in our school. We have Early Childhood programming through 4th grade and our students routinely produce a mastery of the state standards in both Math and Reading placing in the top percentiles for Minnesota elementary schools.

My family and I have lived in the Westonka area since 2001. My three daughters all went to Shirley Hills and attend MWHS or have graduated from it. As parents, we know that Shirley Hills is a fantastic school that focuses on meeting students’ academic, social, and emotional needs. As principal I work hard to honor the great work being done by the teachers, staff and students every single day.
