Fall Meal Options for Westonka Students

Dear families,

Please see the information below regarding meal options to start the 2020-21 school year. If the learning model for the district, or your student's building changes, we will send you information regarding updated meal options. Please don't hesitate to contact our office with questions.

Fall Meal Options For Westonka Students:

Students of Westonka Schools will have multiple ways to access meals this fall depending on their grade level and learning model choice.

In Person Students:

On days when your student is learning in their school building, they will visit our kitchens and cafeterias as they have in previous years but with extra safety and physical distancing measures in place.

Thanks to an extension of the USDA School Meal Waiver announced Aug. 31, all meals for in-person learning days will be provided free of charge. Student meals will not be tracked via PINs or classroom checklists, and students will not need to pass through the cashier with a meal. This process will continue until Dec. 31, 2020, or until the USDA funding runs out. In the event that families must cover the cost of the meals, we will alert you before making the change.

* For more information about how your student’s school is promoting physical distancing during meal services, please reach out to the school directly.
