April 2, 2025 — Shirley Hills Primary School invites the Westonka community to participate in one of the school’s biggest fundraisers of the year! The Shirley Hills Carnival and Silent Auction will take place on Friday, April 11, from 5 to 9 p.m. Bring friends and the whole family for games, face painting, inflatable bounce houses, and more! 

“Our PTA does such an amazing job ensuring this event is both successful and fun!” said Principal Scott Eidsness.

“This is not only the social event of the year, but our largest fundraiser that helps us support our school in so many ways, including larger projects like the book vending machine and outdoor classroom,” said PTA President Andrew Reinitz. Funds raised at this event also help in small ways throughout the year, like providing money for supplies to each teacher, the naturalist, and the fourth-grade kindness retreat.

The Shirley Hills Carnival Silent Auction will go live on Bidding Owl on Friday, April 4 at 6 p.m. All are welcome to view and bid on the auction, as attendance at the carnival is not required! The auction will close at 8 p.m. the night of the carnival, and pick-up will begin at 8:30 p.m. Pick-ups will also be available the following week.

“We have tremendous gratitude for the generosity and support from all of our families and staff,” added Reinitz. “We simply couldn’t do this event or provide the resources we currently do without it.”
