Volunteers Pack Meals for Feed My Starving Children
Students, staff, and community volunteers packed meals during the two-day event.
November 9, 2022 — Mound Westonka High School hosted a Feed My Starving Children Mobile Packing Event Nov. 4 and 5. A total of 276 students, school staff and community members packed 93,528 meals during the event – enough to feed 256 kids for an entire year! Community members also donated over $20,000 to the cause.
Event organizers expressed their appreciation for Westonka Public Schools and staff for coordinating, and offered a big thanks to many local communities (Westonka and beyond) for volunteering and donating.
Feed My Starving Children is a non-profit organization that coordinates the packaging and distribution of food to people in developing nations. Founded in 1987, it has reached out to more than 70 countries.
