Westonka Students Compete at Destination Imagination Global Finals

July 9, 2019 — Congratulations to the Westonka Destination Imagination (DI) team that competed at Global Finals in Kansas City, Missouri May 20-25. Seven rising Mound Westonka High School seniors - Anders Erdahl, Gage Olson, Adam Born, Trinity Bielke, Rebecca Nachreiner, Conner Jones and Michael Andreyeshchev - competed with Team Si Sit Dolor in the engineering secondary level challenge and took 15th place in the world out of 50 teams.

Global Finals is the culminating event of every DI season. DI teams that advance past regional and affiliate (state/country) tournaments are invited to participate in Global Finals, the world’s largest celebration of creativity. More than 17,000 students, parents, and volunteers from more than 15 different counties attend the event each May.
