April 30, 2025 — Students at Grandview Middle School gathered at school on Friday night, April 25, for the Spring Fling. The annual party was open to all students and included a DJ and dance, volleyball, dodgeball, crafts, bingo, a creative photo booth, junk food snacks, and pizza. This year’s event had a pirate theme, and the kids enjoyed the props.

Student Council members, along with some great parent volunteers, helped decorate and set up the event. Dozens of amazing parent and staff volunteers helped chaperone to make sure that each room was supervised, food was provided, the gyms were safe, pictures were taken and that things ran smoothly.

“Our pirate-themed party was a swashbuckling success, sponsored by our Student Council!” said Principal Christy Zachow. “A huge ‘thank ye’ to all the parent and staff volunteers – you were the true captains of this ship!”
