April 29, 2025 — Shirley Hills kindergartners went shopping at the annual Kindergarten Flea Market last week. The event marks the end of the students’ math unit on coins by spending real coins on a variety of treasures.

Teachers, families, and community members donated the trinkets for the event.

“The annual flea market involves many excited shoppers spending their pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters!” said kindergarten teacher Olivia Simmons.
