December 5, 2024 — The holiday season is a time to come together as a community, and Mound Westonka High School Student Senate is thrilled to announce this year’s Holiday Drive benefiting WeCAN (Western Communities Action Network). The drive will be held December 4-11.
“This wonderful organization supports families in the Westonka area, and together, we can make a difference!” said a Senate spokesperson.
This season WeCAN is looking for much-needed personal items to donate to families in the Westonka area. Some items to consider donating are personal care products, household cleaning items, and paper products. Suggested items are listed below.
MWHS students and staff can donate before or after school to the designated boxes located in the office. Monetary donations are also greatly appreciated. Use this link to donate funds online through Bound.
Sweet Deal: Student Senate is hosting a friendly competition between all grades! The ENTIRE winning grade with the highest number of pounds donated will earn a free hot cocoa cart during lunches before winter break.
