Each school in the district got into the Homecoming spirit this week with a variety of dress-up days, pep fests, and athletic competitions.
September 19, 2024 — We’ve had a great Westonka Homecoming Week so far and are excited about all the events still to come on Friday, Sept. 20. Please take time to review some important details.
Friday's annual Homecoming Parade runs from Hilltop Primary School (Game Farm Road E) along County Road 110 and down Sunnyfield Road E to Mound Westonka High School. Parade float line up will begin at 4:15 p.m. at Hilltop with the parade scheduled to start at 5 p.m. All parade route roads (including to Hilltop) will close at 4:50 p.m. and reopen approximately 1 hour later.
Please note: Hilltop will have limited access (drop-off/pick-up only) from 4:15 to 4:50 p.m. Adventure Club last call pick-up is 4:30 p.m.
Immediately following the parade, Mound Westonka High School Student Senate will host the Homecoming Carnival and Family Fun Tailgating outside Haddorff Field. The Westonka Football Boosters will be selling hot dog meals for $5.
At 7:00 p.m., the White Hawks will host Providence Academy in the Homecoming Football Game. Buy tickets online
Homecoming Friday Schedule - Sept. 20, 2024
7:30 a.m. - Alumni Breakfast, MWHS cafeteria
5 p.m. - Parade, begins at Hilltop and ends at MWHS
6-7 p.m. - $5 hot dog meals (sold by the Football Boosters), outside Haddorff Field
6-7 p.m. – Pre-Game Carnival, outside Haddorff Field (cash only for carnival activities/food)
6:15 p.m. - Hawk Walk outside Haddorff Field
7 p.m. - White Hawks football vs. Providence Academy, Haddorff Field (also via livestream)
