November 15, 2023 — Mound Westonka High School hosted a Feed My Starving Children Mobile Packing Event Nov. 10 and 11. A total of 317 students, school staff, and community members packed 95,040 meals during the event – enough to feed 256 kids for an entire year!

"Thank you to Mound Westonka and surrounding communities for coming out to help pack meals,” said community volunteer Mark Lee, who offered a special thank you to the DECA and NHS advisors for coordinating almost half of the volunteers for the event.

While organizers were thankful for the many meals that were packed, the fundraising goal of $30,000 to pay for the meals fell short – raising less than half of the total needed.

“Please help by making a donation so this event can continue,” Lee added. “Thank you for your time and efforts!”
