March 3, 2023 — Welcome to the opening night of the Cornley Drama Society’s newest production, “The Murder at Haversham Manor,” where things are quickly going from bad to utterly disastrous. Join the fun this weekend, when Mound Westonka High School Theatre presents “The Play That Goes Wrong,” with shows scheduled for March 3 and 4 at 7 p.m., and March 5 at 2 p.m. at the Westonka Performing Arts Center.
The play is a riotous comedy about the theatre that introduces the Cornley Drama Society, which is attempting to put on a 1920s murder mystery. This whodunit has everything you never wanted in a show—an unconscious leading lady, a corpse that can’t play dead, and actors who trip over everything (including their lines). Nevertheless, the accident-prone thespians battle against all odds to make it through to their final curtain call, with hilarious consequences!
Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for students/seniors. Order tickets on the Westonka PAC website. District staff receive one complimentary ticket per show.
