May 17, 2022 — The Westonka Special Education Advisory Council (SEAC) is hosting a Parents’ Night Out event May 31 at Lord Fletcher’s in Spring Park. The event will run from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Parents of Westonka students receiving special education services will have the opportunity to meet and connect. Dinner and drinks will be available for purchase. Please RSVP to Adriana Haugen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The mission of the Westonka SEAC is to empower parents of children from birth through age 21 with disabilities through various resources. SEAC is made up of designated, representative parents of students receiving special education services from each educational site in Westonka, as well as a member of Westonka’s school board. SEAC also includes a representative special education staff member from each educational site.
Parents of children with special needs are encouraged to take advantage of the events and resources offered by Westonka SEAC throughout the year, including:

Community Education—Volunteer Buddy Program
Early Childhood Special Education Information Folders
Outreach at District and Community Events
