MWHS to Host Feminine Hygiene Product Drive May 23-28

May 10, 2022 — The Passionate Period Project at Mound Westonka High School is hosting a collection drive later this month in conjunction with Menstruation Hygiene Week. Consider donating a box of any period product to the MWHS office from May 23 to 28. All donations are appreciated and have helped keep the high school bathrooms stocked all year.

Sophomores Ingrid Wulf and Kendall Sebasky started the Passionate Period Project in March of 2021 after noticing that the MWHS bathrooms didn’t always have a full supply of feminine hygiene products. They got the go-ahead from administration to pursue the independent project, which is not part of a class or service requirement.

Throughout the school year, the pair have made it their mission to stock the bathrooms with a variety of free feminine hygiene products so that every student has access to what they’re most comfortable using, in the most convenient location.

You will find a box for donations the week of May 23 in the MWHS office. You can also make a monetary donation online: https://ie.gofundme.com/f/passionate-period-project.
