MWHS Selects Prom King and Queen Candidates

April 28, 2021 —The Mound Westonka High School Student Senate is excited to introduce the candidates for 2021 Prom King and Queen. Nominated by their peers, members of the court include senior ladies Maya Henslin, Jadyn Rice, Mya Coley, Liza Ruegemer, Greta Blanck, Taylor Leonard and Grace Carlson, along with senior gentlemen Jake Robertson, Merrick Gormley, Weston Lawrence, Trent Kelly, Nicky Peterson, Aidan Mjelstad and Mitch Krebsbach.

The coronation will take place at Haddorff Field on Sunday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in front of a limited number of spectators. A live stream has been set up and will broadcast the entire coronation. Click here for coronation live stream link.

“Falling through Fairy Tales” is the theme for the 2021 prom, which will take place Saturday, May 8, under tents at MWHS. Prom attendees are invited to participate in a royal Grand March to kick off the prom festivities. Students will travel through a fairytale story in the transformed MWHS gym. Limited tickets will allow families to attend, while a live stream will be broadcast for home viewers to enjoy.

In order to safely host an in-person prom this year, COVID-19 guidelines will be in place, including masks and social distancing.
