April 27, 2021 — Mound Westonka High School consistently ranks among the best schools in the United States, as reported by U.S. News & World Report. On the 2021 "Best High Schools" list, MWHS ranks 17th out of 877 Minnesota schools. MWHS comes in at No. 1,201 in the national rankings, which include nearly 18,000 high schools in the United States.

The 2021 U.S. News Best High Schools rankings include data on nearly 24,000 public high schools.
