USDA School Meal Waiver Extended
UPDATE September 6, 2020 — The Minnesota Department of Education clarified that all student meals (in-person and distance) will be covered under the USDA School Meal Waiver extension through Dec. 31, 2020, or until funds run out. The below article has been updated to reflect this new information.
September 3, 2020 — Students of Westonka Public Schools will have multiple ways to access meals this fall, depending on their grade level and learning model choice. Due to an extension of the USDA School Meal Waiver announced Aug. 31, Westonka is able to offer all student meals free of charge. If the learning model for a school building, or the district, changes, Westonka Foodies will send information to families regarding updated meal options.
