Vote in the Westonka School District Election On or Before Nov. 5

October 31, 2019 — The Westonka School District election is next Tuesday, Nov. 5. We know that work schedules and family activities can sometimes make it difficult to get to the polls on Election Day. Luckily, it has never been easier to vote early in person in Minnesota. Below you will find all the information you need to vote to set the district’s direction.

If you have not had an opportunity to become familiar with the Westonka Public Schools levy referendum and school board election, please visit the referendum page on the district website, www.westonka.k12.mn.us/referendum, where you can find the following:

  • a sample ballot
  • voting information
  • school board candidate profiles

Vote early

In-person absentee/early voting using a voting machine is conducted at the Westonka Educational Service Center, 5901 Sunnyfield Road E, Minnetrista (across the parking lot from Mound Westonka High School). Early voting will be open the following times:

  • Friday, Nov. 1 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Nov. 2 - 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 4 -  7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Vote on Election Day

On Tuesday, Nov. 5, polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Residents can find where they will vote on Election Day using the Minnesota Secretary of State pollfinder.

Register to vote at the polls

You can register or update your registration when you vote. Remember to bring proof of residence. If you changed your name or address since the last election, you will need to update your registration.
