Dear Westonka Families,
Beginning in school year 2023-2024 Minnesota will sponsor school meals (breakfast & lunch) for students that do not qualify for educational benefits while in grades PK–12.
Most families will leave money in their student’s school meal account for additional snack and beverage purchases such as second entrees, a la carte/snacks or milk (with a bag lunch or 2nd milks) in school year 2023-2024.
We are able to transfer funds from one student to another to avoid additional deposits. Please contact Deb Bailey at baileyd@westonka.k12.mn.us to transfer funds. If the combined school meal account balance for your entire family is $10.00 or less, we ask you to keep these funds in the meal account(s) for use next year.
