MWHS Plans Virtual Homecoming Week

2020 Homecoming Queen candidates

October 29, 2020 — Westonka Homecoming Week 2020 will kick off a week of fun-filled virtual events with the Homecoming Coronation on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m. The coronation is not open to the public, but students and community members are invited to join the celebration via livestream.

Senior members of the Royal Court include queen candidates Lauren Balk, Hannah Bortnem, Alyssa Bourdon, Katie Clarke, Sydney Eidsness, Avery Finck, Avery Robbins and Nora Taets. Vying for the king’s crown are seniors Ryan Allen, Tucker Anderly, Trenton Bowe, Bennett Kelley, Logan Leonard, Joshua Nkhata, Santiago Phommahaxay and Nic Riemenschneider.

Celebrate your White Hawk pride by participating in the daily dress-up days. Monday is College Comfy Day and Tuesday is Hawaiian Day. Wear your class color on Wednesday and celebrate USA Day on Thursday. Show your White Hawk spirit on Friday during a virtual pep fest.

Sporting contests include Monday’s volleyball match versus Orono at 7 p.m. and the Friday football game, when the White Hawks host St. Anthony Village for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Other Homecoming Week activities include a coloring contest, medallion hunt, spirit sign sale and a dance playlist.
