  • Board Approves Westonka's Safe Learning Plan

    On Monday night, August 10, the Westonka School Board adopted by unanimous vote Westonka Public Schools’ Safe Learning Plan for the 2020-21 school year. Based on current health data, Westonka plans to begin the year with early learning through grade 4 in the In-Person Learning Model and grades 5-12 in the Hybrid Learning Model.   • Westonka Schools 2020-21 Reopening Recommendation

    Following a consultation this week with state and county public health officials, the district will be putting forth a proposal to the school board on Aug. 10 that Westonka Schools move forward with a model that allows for the most in-person instruction possible to start the year. Based on current health data, the district recommends an in-person learning model for grades K-4 and a hybrid learning model for grades 5-12. Please read the Borg Report to learn more.
