    Each November, students in the Transition Plus program at Mound Westonka High School plan a “Friendsgiving Feast.” Two weeks of preparation went into this year's festive event, which gave students the opportunity to showcase several skills, including budgeting, shopping, cooking and teamwork.

    Grandview Middle School sixth graders marked the completion of the year’s Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) curriculum with a graduation ceremony on Nov. 16. School Resource Officer Susie Schultz led the students through a 10-lesson program that culminated in the celebration.

    Eight Westonka DECA Students Qualify for Internationals in Virtual Business Challenge

    Mound Westonka High School had 29 students compete in the first round of the DECA Knowledge Matters Virtual Business Challenge in October. Seniors Jack Hall, Bryce Helms, Jack Moch, Isaac Paul and Rocco Zahasky, juniors Ruby Finck and Lauren Velander, and sophomore Allison Kreiser placed in the top two in the region to advance to DECA Internationals.
