    Westonka Public Schools is once again ranked among the top school districts in the state, according to data released this week by Niche. In the “2023 Best School Districts in Minnesota” list, Westonka ranks 10th out of 371 Minnesota districts.

    Pair of MWHS Seniors Named National Merit Commended Students

    Two Mound Westonka High School seniors have earned Commended Student recognition in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. Laura Sunnarborg and Dylan Mather were among the approximately 34,000 students to receive the recognition out of more than 1.5 million students who took the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) last year.

    Grandview Teams Join FIRST Lego League

    Grandview Middle School students can participate in a new activity this year – the FIRST Lego League, which introduces science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to children through fun, exciting hands-on learning. The two GMS teams, comprised of 10 students each, are led by parent coaches Chuck and Andi Hayes, as well as Shirley Hills technology teacher Katie Davis.
