Enrollment

Your child's Westonka journey begins here

Welcome to Westonka!

From early childhood education through high school, Westonka Public Schools has professional teaching staff and qualified childcare professionals to help you and your child along the way.

Our schools are small, so they really do feel like family—we know every child by name and make it our goal to help each child be successful. Yet we are big enough to offer the opportunities you will find at much bigger schools—from academics to athletics to the arts—while preparing your child for their own real-life success story.

Enroll Your Child

Whether you're new to Westonka Public Schools or have other children already enrolled in the district, we're here to guide you every step of the way. Questions about enrollment? Contact the Westonka Welcome Center at enroll@westonka.k12.mn.us or (952) 491-8024.

From Our Community

Matthew Mobagi holds ball on basketball court

“Playing basketball for four years for Westonka taught me how to work with a team toward a shared goal. It reinforced the importance of putting in the work when no one is watching. Most importantly, it showed me that with hard work and determination, you can achieve any goal, in athletics and in life.”

-Matthew Mobagi, Class of 2025, studying at the University of Notre Dame

-Raul Jordan, Class of 2025, studying at St. Olaf College

The Ibs Family

"As teachers ourselves—with me working in the district for 10 years—we see daily the dedication of our superintendent, principals, and colleagues. But as parents, we've experienced something even more powerful: watching our own children be seen, known, and loved by their teachers."

-Brian and Sara Ibs, parents of Elin, Lincoln, Thea & Mae

“In small school and community settings, I was able to develop important leadership skills that I wouldn't have elsewhere. I was able to transition into college academics and athletics smoothly thanks in large part to the people in the Westonka School District.”

-Liz Schepers, Class of 2017, forward in the Professional Women's Hockey League

The Foertsch Family black and white portrait

"As our kids approached school age, we considered open enrollment to big schools in the area. Then, we visited Westonka schools and were blown away. The teachers knew all the students’ names. Kids happily greeted the principal, many with big hugs. It is hard to explain, but it felt like home. Now we see our kids with all the opportunities of a big school, with an excellent, challenging, and specifically tailored curriculum, all in that loving, supportive, safe, homey environment we felt since our first visit. We could not be happier that we send our children to Westonka Public Schools."

-Stephen and Sammi Foertsch, parents of Brooks, Colie & Beau
