Deferred Maintenance
Westonka will be addressing the significant deferred maintenance needs of the district’s 50- to 70-year-old buildings.
Some of the bond-funded deferred maintenance plans include:
- Replace original domestic water piping at every school
- Replace boilers at Hilltop and Westonka High School
- Replace or add air handling units at Hilltop and the middle and high school
- Upgrade the electrical system at Hilltop, Westonka High School and the transportation building
- Add dehumidification to the Hilltop gym
- Replace the high school gym roof and bleachers
- Replace the high school track and tennis courts due to their deteriorating sub-base

Deferred Maintenance Project Highlights
The boilers at Hilltop Primary School and Westonka High School will be replaced.
The district constructed 12 new tennis courts (with six courts also lined for pickleball) across from Westonka High School.
