Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE)

Early Childhood Special Education provides early intervention to young children, age birth to 6, who meet the criteria for any one of the 13 special education disability categories or show developmental delay in the general areas of speech and language, large and fine motor skills, social and emotional behavior, cognitive and/or adaptive skills, or have vision or hearing losses. Services are provided in the home, child care setting, or at preschool and are at no charge to the family.
