Westonka Schools Participating in WeCAN Coat Drive

Westonka Schools are proud to participate in WeCAN’s annual Winter Coat Drive again this year. Collection boxes will be located throughout the community from Oct. 6 to Oct. 20. Coat distribution will be held at WeCAN on Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Nov. 4 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No registration is necessary for anyone who needs winter gear.

WeCAN will accept all sizes of clean, gently used coats (particular needs include large adult sizes and grade school children’s sizes), snow pants, and boots. New gloves, mittens, and hats are also gratefully accepted. Collection boxes are available at Hilltop Primary School, Shirley Hills Primary School, and Westonka Middle School.

WeCAN will also accept donations at their office, 5213 Shoreline Drive in Mound. Drop-offs will be accepted Monday – Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
