Westonka High School Student Senate is gearing up for Homecoming Week 2026, which will be held September 28-October 4. The entire community is invited to participate in this year’s activities.

The members of the Homecoming Royal Court were announced this week. Students voted by their peers to represent this year’s senior class are Annika Hagen, Ella McClellan, Norah Hollenstein, Addison Bryan, Maddie Carlson, Valerie Mobagi, Ava Wittine, Blake Reinbold, Owen Trost, Claudio Lopez, Julian Herkelman, Tyrus Magnus, August Lang, and Carlos Jordan. Coronation will take place this year during the high school pep fest on Friday, October 2, at 9:52 a.m. in the WHS gym. Families are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The Royal Court will reign over a week of Homecoming activities, including dress-up days, pep fests, the Homecoming parade and carnival, and a host of athletic competitions, including the Friday night football game when the White Hawks will host Big Lake at 7 p.m. at Haddorff Field.

The week wraps up with the semi-formal Homecoming dance on Saturday, Oct. 3, at WHS and the annual Powder Puff football game on Sunday, Oct. 4 at Haddorff Field.

As Westonka’s multi-year campus transformation continues, some areas of the high school campus remain closed to the public for safety:

  • New stadium west of Thaler Arena: Most of the work will be completed towards the end of October, weather permitting
  • WHS east entrance and courtyard: Closed during ongoing construction
  • Construction staging area by the high school digital sign: Closed during ongoing construction

Please do not enter any construction zones or bypass fencing, barricades, or signage. These are active work areas with heavy equipment and changing conditions. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as this work continues and look forward to sharing these new and improved spaces with our students, staff and community.
