Student Senate Hosts 'A Night of Gilded Glamour: A Great Gatsby-Style Prom'

The Westonka High School Senate is hosting "A Night of Gilded Glamour: A Great Gatsby-Style Prom" on Saturday, May 9 at the historic Lafayette Club on Lake Minnetonka for all juniors and seniors.

Student Senate is excited to introduce the candidates for 2026 prom royalty. Nominated by their peers, members of the court include seniors Mia Abernethy, Lawan Beckman, Bridget Budzius, Brooklynn Hansberger, Suzie Marth, Avery Pearson, Zoe Wood, Jake Berg, Sam Buetow, Sten Carlson, Issei Finger, Bruno Pomsel, Gavin Ruegemer, and John Seckinger.

Festivities begin with the Grand March at 5:30 p.m. in the WHS Performing Arts Center, giving families the opportunity to take photos and see students dressed to the nines before they head off to the venue.  Immediately following the Grand March will be the coronation of the prom court. Families, friends, and students are welcome to attend. Social hour, dinner, and dancing will follow at the Lafayette Club from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Members of the Junior Prom Committee include Aubrey Bruckner, Addison Bryan, Annika Hagen, Julian Herkelman, August Lang, Ella McClellan, Valerie Mobagi, Brendan Rashleger, and Ava Wittine.
