NHS Hosts Successful Spring Blood Drive at WAC

NHS students staffed the check-in desk at the Spring Blood Drive.
The National Honor Society (NHS), in cooperation with the Memorial Blood Center, exceeded expectations at its annual spring blood drive on April 2 at the Westonka Activity Center. Students, staff, and community members were invited to participate.
During the event, 64 units of blood were collected – enough to save up to 192 patients at local hospitals!
“Thank you to all the amazing Westonka students, staff, and community members who stepped up and donated blood!” said advisor Jana Pare. “Not everyone can say they helped save a life during the school day, but these people can. We are so proud of you and the example you set for our school and community.”
