Looking Ahead to a Great Year in Westonka

I hope you are enjoying a wonderful summer. As we prepare for the 2026-27 school year, I’m excited to share a few important updates from Westonka Public Schools.

Construction Updates

Thanks to our community's support of the 2023 bond referendum, significant progress has been made across the district this summer.

At Westonka High School, the majority of learning spaces are now complete as we continue our multi-year campus transformation. The new stadium is scheduled to open in November, while work on the east entrance/courtyard, weight room and a few remaining areas will continue through next year. We appreciate your patience as construction continues, with all bond projects expected to be complete by fall 2027.

Summer project highlights at Hilltop and Shirley Hills primary schools include media center enhancements, new interior doors and hardware, upgraded piping, mechanical system improvements, a new boiler at Hilltop, new cafeteria windows at Shirley Hills, dehumidification in the Hilltop gym, and play area improvements.
