Close the Achievement Gap(s) Among All Groups

  • The achievement gap as measured by the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) in reading and math between our highest performing student group, WHITE, and our two lowest student groups, FREE/REDUCED LUNCH (students below the poverty line) and SPECIAL EDUCATION, will decrease to no more than a 10 percentage point difference by Spring 2021.

    Results: 

    The following chart shows state testing data points between the White (WHI) and the Free/Reduced Lunch (FRP) student groups and the White (WHI) and Special Education (SPED):

    1. The Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) passing rates in Reading and Math.
    2. The MCA proficiency gap between the student groups.
    3. The degree the MCA proficiency gap has decreased/increased from 2018 to 2019.
