  • Link Dance

    Calling all 8th and 9th grade students! -- After the home Varsity football game on Friday, October 7th, you are invited to the MWHS Courtyard for the Link Dance.  This is a dance for only 8th and 9th graders, along with our Link Leaders.  FREE admission!  Not attending the game? Still come for the fun 8:30-10:30pm!  Any questions, please contact Ms. Bormes, School Connections Coordinator.

  • NEW: Meningococcal Vaccine Booster Requirement for Incoming MWHS Seniors

    Minnesota law requires that all children get vaccinated against certain diseases or have a legal exemption on file to enroll in school. Students entering 12th grade for the 2022-23 school year need to have documentation or a legal exemption for the booster dose of meningococcal vaccine (Most children received the initial dose of this vaccine when they entered 7th grade).

  • Westonka Public Schools Earns Another Top 10 Ranking

    Westonka Public Schools is once again ranked among the top school districts in the state, according to data released this week by Niche. In the “2023 Best School Districts in Minnesota” list, Westonka ranks 10th out of 371 Minnesota districts.

  • MWHS Announces AP Scholars

    A total of 44 Mound Westonka High School students have earned AP Scholar Awards in recognition of their exceptional achievement on AP exams last school year. “We are extremely proud of their accomplishments,” said school counselor Ann Baumann.

  • Homecoming 2022 Was a Smashing Success

    With only weather standing in the way, Homecoming 2022 was a smashing success. From the coronation of Homecoming Queen Savanna Newell and King Naresh Thakurdial on Sunday to the Homecoming dance on Saturday night, enthusiastic crowds and events designed for the entire community contributed to an exciting week.

  • Pair of MWHS Seniors Named National Merit Commended Students

    Two Mound Westonka High School seniors have earned Commended Student recognition in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program. Laura Sunnarborg and Dylan Mather were among the approximately 34,000 students to receive the recognition out of more than 1.5 million students who took the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) last year.

  • Queen Savanna and King Naresh Preside Over Homecoming 2022

    An enthusiastic crowd of Mound Westonka High School students and family members gathered at the Westonka Performing Arts Center on Sunday, Sept. 18, when seniors Savanna Newell and Naresh Thakurdial were crowned the 2022 MWHS Homecoming Queen and King.
