Free Meals for Westonka Students by Delivery or Curbside Pickup
During the state mandated school closure, Westonka Foodies and Westonka Bus Service are teaming up to provide free meals to students. Parents and students can pick up these meals outside Mound Westonka High School or along designated bus routes.
The bagged meal option will include a lunch and next-day breakfast. The menu for the week is posted online at www.westonka.k12.mn.us/westonkafoodies.
This food support program is funded by the USDA, not Westonka Public Schools. Every meal served helps provide additional funds for our local schools.
Option 1 - Curbside Meal Pickup: On school days, meals will be offered via curbside pickup outside the Westonka Performing Arts Center at MWHS from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Option 2 - Bus Stop Meal Delivery: On school days, meals will be delivered to designated bus stops (see routes below). Pre-ordering is no longer needed for delivery.
- Please be at the stop 5 minutes before the scheduled time frame and stay until 5 minutes after the scheduled time or until the meal has arrived.
- If you have any questions about delivery, please call Transportation at (952) 491-8280.
- Note: The buses or vans used for delivery will say Westonka Bus Service or Westonka Public Schools on the side.
If families are homebound, please leave a voicemail at (952) 491-8084 to request meals to be delivered directly to an address. We can deliver multiple days' worth of meals at one stop.
Please remember to practice safe social distancing during free meal pickup. Please stay at least 6 feet away from other families at school bus stops. During curbside meal pickup at MWHS, please remain inside your vehicle and wait for a staff member to greet you. Thank you for helping to keep our community safe and healthy!
