  • Westonka Schools is Hiring!

    Westonka Public Schools is seeking talented professionals to join its dedicated team. The school district is currently hiring for two district-level positions that will work out of the Westonka Educational Service Center. Both positions may be of interest to local residents looking for positions with regular business hours in an office environment.

  • Westonka Honors Retirees, Long-Time Staff

    This spring Westonka Public Schools recognized 14 staff members who have retired since last summer, or are planning to retire at the end of the school year, as well as 22 employees who had years of service milestones. In total the staff recognized this year have given 668 years of service to the Westonka district and its students and families.

  • Super Team Day Delights at Shirley Hills

    When the weather forecast for the scheduled Super Team Day looked rainy and cold, Shirley Hills staff members acted quickly to change the date from Thursday to Wednesday last week. The result was a perfect sunny and pleasant day for all grade level students to spend most of the day outdoors with their teachers.

  • Shirley Hills Fourth-Graders Share Outdoor Adventures

    In lieu of the annual Wolf Ridge trip, fourth-graders from Shirley Hills Primary engaged in a week of Outdoor Adventures May 10 through May 14. Students spent three days at Voyageur Camp in Mound, spent a day with naturalists from Three Rivers Park District and wrapped up the week with an outdoor talent show.

  • Shirley Hills Raises Funds for Leukemia Society

    This year Shirley Hills Primary School students and families raised over $9,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, their second highest total ever. As a reward for their efforts, Principal Scott Eidsness spent the night of May 21 on the school roof, while top fundraising students and families joined the campout on the school grounds.
