  • WeCAN to Host Annual Coat Drive

    As you begin to prepare your wardrobe for upcoming cooler weather, please consider saving your clean, gently used winter coats and snow pants for WeCAN’s annual Coat Drive. Collection boxes will be located at Hilltop and Shirley Hills Primary Schools and Grandview Middle School through Oct. 14. Collection boxes are located in the entryways of each school.

  • Nominations Open for 2021 Westonka Teacher of the Year

    Westonka Education Minnesota is excited to present the Westonka Teacher of the Year program. WEM will be collecting nominations from staff, students, parents and community members. Nominations for the 2020-2021 award are now open and must be submitted by Friday, Oct. 30.

  • Quarter 2 Distance Only Registration Open Oct. 5-19

    Registration for the Distance Only Option through Westonka Public Schools for the second quarter of the 2020-21 school year will open on Monday, October 5, 2020, and will close at noon on Monday, October 19, 2020. All families who are choosing the Distance Only Option for quarter 2 need to register in Skyward Family Access. This includes students who chose the Distance Only Option for quarter 1.

  • Cities of Mound, Orono Reallocate CARES Act Funds to Support Local Schools

    The City of Mound and the City of Orono both recently passed resolutions authorizing the reallocation of local Coronavirus Relief Funds to the Westonka School District. On Sept. 14, the City of Orono allocated $105,584 in CARES Act funds to Westonka Schools, and on Sept. 22 the City of Mound approved $500,000 in additional funds to support the district.
